There is an annual membership fee of $35. Our team will also have monthly happy hours, monthly bike rides, monthly trail runs, an annual volunteer opportunity (working a water station for a race), and our annual BBQ. RECLINER TO RUNNER 5K TRAINING FOR BEGINNERS -- Group Training
This is a 10 week program for beginners! People who have never ran before or who haven't ran in a several years. We start out alternating running with walking. Over time, we decrease the walking, increase the running, and at the end of 10 weeks....you're running 3.1 miles!
We meet as a group for our discussion and group training once a week. We discuss some topic related to running for about 20 minutes, we stretch together and train together as a group. The weekly meetings will be conducted in person (depending on geography) or online via LIVE webcasts. If you cannot be present for the weekly discussion, you can watch the discussion session online LIVE or On Demand. See the LIVE COACHING web page for more information. The discussions will be saved for two weeks. If you fall behind more than two weeks, you should start the Program over from the beginning.
After our weekly discussion and training, everyone receives a Weekly Training Schedule for the following week. This is your HOMEWORK! You will complete the workouts as scheduled, mark off that you completed it, and how it went. I will check in on you via email, text messages and during our midweek group training runs (depending on geography). I collect everyone's Weekly Training Schedule and review for signs of impending injury, signs that the workouts are too easy or too difficult, and provide feedback. In some cases, we've had to back off the current schedule or advance some folks ahead!
Those of you completing the Program online via LIVE coaching will download your Weekly Training Schedule at the conclusion of the webcast. You will email the completed schedule back to me.
All Program participants have the option of LIVE in person discussions or online via LIVE webcasts; whatever works best for your schedule!

The cost is $20 per week. I ask everyone to prepay for the week, so that you're MINE for that week. (You can drop out of the Program at any time, with written notice (via email).
